This Week's Infobarrel Blog Carnival

Here we are, a bit delayed due to funerals and flu on our end.

First up, information on All Inclusive Cheap Cruises.

Followed by a great article on Signs of Clogged Arteries.

And just so we keep everything completely unrelated in terms of topic :)--there's nothing like an anti-theme!-- here's a Buyer's Guide to Vinyl Strip Doors.

We will be skipping next week's carnival as I will be out-of-state and unsure of my ability to access the internet. The carnival will resume in February.

This Week's Infobarrel Blog Carnival

Another week, another blog carnival. Welcome to this week's Infobarrel Blog Carnival.

First up is some great information on the Law Enforcement Job Search. With a cousin trying to break into law enforcement, I can vouch for the tips and information in this article.

Second is a fantastic article about Increasing Reading Comprehension by Activating Prior Knowledge. This is a great strategy for engaging reluctant readers and improving their reading comprehension.

Third, and last is some information on Green Tea Vitamins that Melt Belly Fat. Up until recently green tea supplements were not recommended because they weren't tested or verified, but a third party lab tested several brands and we now know which green tea vitamins are safe and effective at getting rid of belly fat.

Last but not least, know the 3 reasons a Music Teacher should NOT come to your home.

That's it for this week's Infobarrel blog carnival. We'll be taking short break for the holidays after this post, but will resume in 2010. See you on the other side of the New Year!

Inaugural Infobarrel Blog Carnival

Here is our first Infobarrel Blog Carnival. We have a paucity of posts and I'm not sure if that's because the forum over at IB is brand spankin' new or if people still aren't sure how this works. Either way, onward and upward!

Our first link asks What Should I Do With my Life?.  If you are looking for a new career or trying to find your niche in the world, this article will help.

Our second entry is a Guide to Saving Money on Groceries. It seems everyone is trying to economize which is hard when food prices keep jumping higher and higher. This article gives some in-depth information and goes beyond coupons.

Submissions for our next carnival are due this Sunday via email to netwriterm AT gmail DOT com. I will continue to host the carnival here until we get more participants.

Have a great week!

How the Infobarrel Blog Carnival Works

Making money with web content relies on two major factors:

1. Proper use of keywords and SEO to ensure people find your content.

2.The page rank or authority search engines give your content.

SEO will only take content so far which is why people try to improve page rank and authority with back links. Many people write entirely new content and post it on article directories or other ad revenue sharing sites, but this takes time and requires extra work that is sometimes uncompensated. Besides, there are only so many places to write content for and only so many times you can re-work content for a topic.

The benefit of a blog carnival is that it's a quick, painless way to build back links and improve your content's rank in the search engine. Here's how you can participate.

1. You provide a link to the carnival host of Infobarrel content you wish to promote. This takes about 5 minutes (or less) to do. You can submit a new link every time or a different link for each blog carnival depending on how many back links you wish to create.

2. The host posts it on their website which creates a back link. A blog carnival post takes about 15 to 20 minutes to do.

The format we will use for carnival posts is either:

Name of Blog link has an article on Infobarrel link. (In the event a blog link is made available.)

Here's an interesting article on Infobarrel link. (When there is no blog link to include.)

3. Everyone takes turns being a host which means you need to have a blog or website (it takes just a few minutes to get started with Blogger).

Our first carnival will be next week and will be hosted here. Submissions are due by midnight Sunday 12/13. Email me at netwriterm AT g-m-a-i-l DOT com with the link you wish to promote.

By providing a link you agree to serve as blog carnival host on one of your blogs/websites in the near future.
